Smile :)

You know what makes me smile? Taking on events for friends! I love helping with and planning any kind of event, and I LOVE when I get to do it along side good friends!!! Another dear friend of mine, Ms. Jessica Sondag is getting married in June, and I could not be more excited about helping her with her day of wedding planning! Another Windows event (except she is Windows on Washington) and another bride who has some great ideas for her wedding!
I am excited to get to help her (and Brian) make their wedding a BIG success!

Looking forward to this event, and again... I will keep you updated about the upcoming nuptials!

The Perfect Venue

Your dream has come true and you are getting married. A mix of emotions are probably running through you, and you have no idea where to start!!! Well, I also say the best time to start planning is the moment you think of it. Deciding on a venue can be a challenge, especially if you have a budget to stick to, but it can also be a lot of fun!

I love getting the chance to listen to people talk about their dream venue for their wedding, and I love it even more when people get to have their wedding at their dream choice! St. Louis has some pretty fabulous venue sites, and I just wanted to share a few with all you brides out there!

Number 1: Forest Park Pavilion
What is prettier than having the whole park to look while enjoying a night of dancing and making memories that will last a lifetime!!! I love how there are so many things you can do to make this venue the perfect place to start your life as husband and wife!

Number 2: The Lemp Mansion's Grand Hall
I may be a little bias on this site, since it was my venue for my wedding and my best friend also got married here; but this place is amazing. From the old fashion elevator, to the huge balcony that overlooks a great skyline, you couldn't ask for a better venue for your wedding! The Grand Hall is an extension of the Lemp Mansion and is located on Cherokee Street, and is the perfect place to have a reception!!

Number 3: Coronado Ballroom
Talk about a beautiful place to have a wedding. This place is by far one of my favorites, because it offers the bride a variety of set ups, and also is perfect for small and large weddings!!! If your looking for something classy, and elegant I would highly recommend this venue!

*Now let's get to planning *

Is Christmas Really Here?

Get out the ornaments, and the Christmas plates! Christmas is here, and I cannot wait!!!!

Where has the month gone?? I have not blogged or updated this since Nov, because I have been so busy!!!!!!The past few weeks have been filled with baking cookies and cupcakes, setting tables for parties, shopping and wrapping all those lovely gifts for family and friends!!! And with just a few short days left till the Big Man arrives, I am just over joyed this holiday season!!!!

I love the holidays, especially Christmas!!!! There are always a ton of family get-togethers and Christmas parties, it just warms my little heart prepping for all the events!!!! I love setting up for big dinner parties, or even small little cocktail hours! With Christmas there are so many different things you can do, and themes that can be used!!!!! While some people hate the thought of having their family and friends over for dinners and parties, I truly get super excited thinking of all the fun things that I can to make each party different, and little bit exciting!!!!

Last night I hosted our annual girls Christmas party, and this year we had our very first little one join us, Baby Bianca! It was so much fun prepping the table for the cheese/champagne/wine night that I cannot wait to get to do it again!!!

Pictures will be posted soon, as I left my camera sitting on the counter at home today!!! Just to give you an idea of the night. I utilized some wrapping paper as my centerpiece/table runner, and wrote out on the paper what was being served in front of each dish, (a written menu for the table)!!! The candle pieces included long taper candles in colors of red and white (think candy canes), Christmas plates that everyone should totally get for the season  from Kohl's and the wine glasses were labeled with cute labels that I picked up for super cheap at Target!!! A very casual, but chic girls Christmas!! Looking forward to sharing some pics with you soon!!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Jenny

Welcome Sloan Schmidt

A few weeks ago, I threw my sister-in-law a baby shower to welcome Sloan Schmidt to the Schmidt side of the family! I had a lot of fun throwing this baby shower, and with the help of Maria Everding, it was a success!  We had do so much fun planning, and choosing everything for this shower! There was enough pink there to make a Pepto Bismol commercial jealous!!!
Straubs Chicken Salad sandwiches were served, along with a very tasty Greek salad, and for desert the guests had their choice of white or chocolate cupcakes with butter cream icing!!

One of my new favorite things to make is these adorable diaper cakes! Easy to make and you can really get creative with them!

The guests drank Cherry Vodka lemonade out of these adorable mason jars!

This picture really does no justice for these cupcakes!! They were delicious! Made by A & L Bakery!
